60s vintage RARE large silk scarf. Collector piece featuring a painting by Pierre Page for the inauguration of the liner "France" in 1962. The ship sailed from Le Havre in France to New York (USA) on the 3rd of February that year. It is represented, here, arriving in the American city on the Hudson river, blue sky and sky-scrapers in the background.
Fantastic quality silk and hand-rolled hem. Made in France.

BRAND: not specified on the label. Perhaps this was commissioned by the company in charge of the inauguration. I did find a couple of identical pieces online on auction sites (one up for sale and one sold).

ESTIMATED ERA: 1960s.

FABRIC: 100% silk.

MEASUREMENTS: 76cm/78cm (29.9"/30.7")

CONDITION: In good vintage condition. No fade in color and an intact hem. It has its little flaws, like you and me. A few realy tiny faded stains but no tears or holes. No large, noticeable damage. Please bear in mind this piece has seen a few decades. Don't hesitate to ask for more details or pictures!

*colors may very slightly vary from their appearance in pictures above.
