60s vintage deadstock one-piece swimsuit. Electric blue. Very simple design, slightly low on the hips in pure 1960s fashion.
Stiff cup (easily removable).
Little back story: This piece was acquired at a closed down shop in Hyères, south of France (along with a few other Radical Silk pieces). The shop had remained untouched since the 60s and was discovered in 2019 when someone bought the building. A true little 1960s gem.
BRAND: Caravelle (and Rilsan fabric)
ERA: 1960s
FABRIC: elastane and polyamide (thicker and a little less extendable than current bathing suit fabrics).
Special care: hand wash in warm water and air-dry (do not twist the fabric).
CONDITION: Good vintage condition! No holes, no tears, no stains and no fade in color. It is in near-mint condition, really.
SIZE: Fits like a size XS from the breast down but has about a C cup chest space.
Don't hesitate if you'd like more measurements. I generally prefer to stick to estimate sizes for elastic pieces, measurements can create confusion.
